I have finally uploaded all the missing parts from my research task and I am happy with the outcome. I will be updating my blog with the analysis of the 2 page spread as well as the scans of the magazine drafts next week.

ONGOING PRODUCTION- ENTRY 2
I have now completed my textual analysis of the magazine covers and contents pages. I have found this very useful as it helps me gather new ideas for my own music magazine. However I am having difficulties in finding 2 page spreads from hip hop and RnB magazines to enable me to analyse it. Therefore I will be going to the local news agents or the local library to look for magazine which share the same genre of music as my magazine would. I will then upload the analysed 2 page spreads to my blog in a later stage. I am going to continue with the rest of my magazine, in order to be up to date with the tasks.
ONGOING PRODUCTION LOG- ENTRY 1
This is my first production entry in my blog, as I have been carrying out my research on the different magazines. As a part of my research I have been analysing three different magazine front covers textually. I have selected magazines which have the same genre as my magazine. I will be taking into consideration all the different conventions of a front cover to show it's representations of the music genre. With the help of my textual analysis I will have the ability to design a unique music magazine which will similarly to other hip hop and RnB magazines will present the genre.

Music Magazine Brief
For this part of my coursework, I have been set a task to create a new magazine consisting of a front cover page, contents page and a double page spread. For this task I will be carrying out some initial research in order for me develop a successful magazine, which will attract my target audiences attention. Also I will be taking into consideration that all my research should be aimed at my selected genre of music, for which the results of the questionnaire have helped me to choose Hip Hop and RnB.

I will be adding scans of the sketches which I have made, but unfortunately due to a faulty scanner I am unable to do so for the current being.
Perliminary Task- School Magazine
I have successfully finished my school magazine and I am relatively happy with what I have produced. During this production I learnt many key things which I did not know I could do on photoshop, for example I am now able to use the tools and cut out a section of an image in order to fit my design in the shape which I want. I was also able to test my skills of creativity and come up with an idea which was unique and fit for purpose. However I had a problem in uploading an image on to my contents page, but later I found out that I had to change the format of the image in order to be able to upload the image. Overall I think my school magazine provided me with the practise which I needed in order to familiarize with the software.

Preliminary task
For my preliminary task in Media Studies I will be creating a front cover and a contents page for my school magazine at the beginning of my course. I am going to carry out this preliminary task as a starter to experiment and develop my skills around the software and computers which I will be using to create my music magazine.
Therefore this will help me to gain confidence and knowledge of the software and allow me to produce a much better and more effective music magazine. This is vital for my development of the skills required to produce a music magazine and it will surely benefit me in the future.
The techniques which I will use in this school magazine will develop onto the music magazine. This will be my first project I will be doing so I think that it will not be as successful as my music magazine.
